Invisible Writing

Fluorescent inks are virtually invisible under white light. If the pen is utilized under black light, the fluorescent writing is of course immediately visible, and the user can see what he is writing. Even without a black light, the user can still see his writing imprint, since a faint wetness shows as the ink deposits on the paper. After a few minutes the ink dries, and the wetness disappears, and at this point the writing is quite invisible except when exposed to ultraviolet light. Writing impressions are instantly absorbed into paper, so that marks will not smear or bleed. Marks cannot be erased. When marks are applied to the skin, as in medical applications, readmission marking, etc. drying to smudge-free condition will take place in about a minute or less.

Signature Security

It has become common practice to utilize invisible fluorescent signatures in bank and savings & loan pass books for purposes of security, identification, and verification. Many users employ fluorescent signature slips, which have a coating of fluorescent transfer wax on the under-surface.
