Invisible Writing Fluorescent inks are virtually invisible under white light. If the pen is utilized under black light, the fluorescent writing is of course immediately visible, and the user can see what he is writing. Even without a black light, the user can still see his writing imprint, since a faint wetness shows as the ink deposits on the paper. After a few minutes the ink dries, and the wetness disappears, and at this point the writing is quite invisible except when exposed to ultraviolet light. Writing impressions are instantly absorbed into paper, so that marks will not smear or bleed. Marks cannot be erased. When marks are applied to the skin, as in medical applications, readmission marking, etc. drying to smudge-free condition will take place in about a minute or less. Signature Security It has become common practice to utilize invisible fluorescent signatures in bank and savings & loan pass books for purposes of security, identification, and verification. Many users employ fluorescent signature slips, which have a coating of fluorescent transfer wax on the under-surface. The impression of a ball-point pen on the slip acts to transfer a waxy (fluorescent) imprint onto a writing surface. Price Marking Many stores, such as book stores or clothing stores, have a theft problem where buyers will switch price labels, placing low price labels on expensive items. The use of invisible fluorescent ink for price marking is an effective deterrent to this fraudulent practice. The invisible price marks, which are placed directly on the item being sold, are not detrimental to the appearance of the article. A second color may be used for a new sale price, while still retaining the original price marking. This permits identification of the patron for re-entry into designated areas. Now, it is possible to enjoy the added convenience of the MAR-C0 Invisible Marking Pen fluorescent-marking pen for such usage. The ink is invisible on the skin, dries within a fraction of a minute, and cannot be transferred or washed off. You may change colors periodically, or change the marking pattern so as to control traffic into separate shows or security areas. The MAR-C0 Invisible Marking Pen invisible marking pens can also be used to advantage for validation of admission tickets, identification cards, and the like. They are effective for admission or readmission control into special security areas, restricted conferences, and display areas, etc. Tickets may be coded with invisible marks for identification by day or event. Place secret identification marks on lottery tickets, raffle tickets, bingo cards, etc. to prevent forgeries. Identification of Merchandise It is often desired to mark items of merchandise so as to identify them as to source, or for stock control purposes. For example, certain breweries have utilized Risk Reactor’s MAR-C0 Invisible Marking Pen to apply fluorescent streaks on bottle caps as the capped beer bottles pass along a conveyor line.
