We having been supplying the commercial and private fishing industry for years. Only recently have the long lasting phosphorescent pigments become popular with the fishing enthusiasts. Our short glow and fluorescent paints are always popular but these strontium based products simply out glow the others. We have been written up in two fishing magazines and are ready to serve you. The basic idea, which will save you save and money, is to add the pigment (or paint) to your existing process. Just about any process of creating fishing lures can be used with our products. You do not need to add new steps or buy special application mechanisms. You Need: 1. Luminous Material. You can either buy the pre-made paint or buy the pigment to add to your own clear vehicle. The latter is recommended when you want to control the exact amount of brilliance and afterglow. Application: Depending on your needs you can apply the luminous materials many ways. If using the pre-made paints simply dip, paint, or spray the paint onto the desired areas. For maximum glowing results have a white undercoat beneath the glowing layer. Then add a clear coat on top to protect the paint from wear. If using the pigments, simply add the pigment to your current clear vehicle such as a clear vinyl. The clearer the vehicle the better results you will get. The more pigment you add the brighter and the longer the glow. Another way to adhere the phosphorescent pigment onto lures is to use a strong adhesive and coat the lure. If using this method you will need to spray a clear over coat on top to protect the crystals. The basic idea is to get the photoluminescent pigment on to the desired area and protect it the best way possible. You can do this by any way imaginable. You can also use the pigment in just about any process you might be currently using. Call us and we will help find the right product for your personal application. If you want to put this into your silicon lures, just add the pigment while the silicon is in liquid state. Then pour the silicon into your mold as you would normally would. Note that the pigments have a very high specific gravity (they are heavy) and will tend to settle in the bottom of the mold. You can counter act this by using anti-settling agents or by using a fine particle size such as PPSB-06E.
